Argh, so many things to do... However, Katja and me will travel up North for the next two weeks. So don't expect any updates during that time.

Okay, this will be a longer quick-update. ;-)

My parents got here August 1st and we spent the first couple of days in Vancouver. Walked through the City, cycled along the sea-side trail and hiked through Lynn Canyon and Lighthouse Park. Later they rented a car and took off for a one week trip through the interior of B.C. towards the Rocky Mountains. From what I heard and saw on the photos, it must have been pretty damn impressive. :-)

During the time, they've been traveling, I was able to finish some more chapters of my thesis and now only three remain to be written. Well, those are the major and more difficult ones, but I do my best to finish everything as soon as possible.

Things got busy at FatPort, too. I finished most of the work on the FatPort and added some pretty cool features to the new version - I already like it very much and really look forward to ditch the old one.

My laptop can be fixed, btw. I already ordered a new display and had to pay upfront Euro 700. Damn. Now, I wait for the part to arrive, so they can put it in. Hopefully in the next few days.

My parents spent last night on Vancouver Island in Victoria and I expect them to be back later today. They are already leaving tomorrow. Time definitely flys by.

And on Monday, Katja arrives in Vancouver. :-)

No, updates for a while... well, my parents are here, I write my thesis and work a lot. That's it basically. (Not really, but well, I don't have more time to write right now.)

Oh fuck, my laptop fell down today. I was biking to work and in the middle of an intersection the freaking cord of laptop-bag bursts... The display is completely toast. But well, it could be worse, the HDD and the rest still works. So I didn't lose any data which is very good as I wrote 17 pages for my graduation thesis yesterday...
Ah damn, I still hate it. I need to go back to a store on Tuesday (Monday is a public holiday in B.C.) and they will tell me how much it costs to replace it. They already hinted that it might be pricy. Irgh.

Other than that, my parents arrive in about seven hours. :-) So it might not be too bad that I can't use my laptop at home this weekend. We will be busy running around in the city and the nature around. Hopefully, they are not too tired. ;-)
